Is it normal that swype is this annoying?

Swype is the quickest way to type what you need to type, but not really because you have to constantly go back and fix a typo error! Is it normal that swype constantly puts the wrong word in and that I have to keep erasing what I type to fix it?

    I stopped using gestures when typing on my smartphone. I prefer tap tap tap all the way. It feels more natural and I improve each time I make a typo

    Ninja edit: I still wonder why people use 3rd party keyboards. The stock keyboard usually works better

      It depends. I use SwiftKey (trial) cause it has all the punctuation, looks better, and the characters are spaced better to fit my typing style thus greatly reducing my typos
