Is it normal that the misuse of "awesome" drives me crazy?
"I'll call you later.(response)"Awesome"
"That's an awesome shirt"
"How was your burger?" "Awesome"
Everything can't be awesome. Take a look in the dictionary once in a while

Actually....
Eeeeverything is awesommee! Everything is cooool when you're part of a team, everything is awesoooome!
That song is still stuck in my head.
Other words irritate me. "Nice, sweet, and golden" are three I can think of at the moment. Another word that I feel is overused, "Hero". The news refers to ANY man or woman who served in the military as a "hero". I served my country and did what I had to do. I am NOT a hero by any means.
I use "awesome" more than I should. Sorry, not sorry. It's not a big deal to be optimistic here and there.
There is an epidemic of misusing words as adjectives or adverbs. Super and awesome are NOT adverbs! "Awesomely" is more acceptable, but even that's a stretch. But I can't stand how all women now use "super" instead of very. You can't be "super hungry" you idiots! You also can't drop the "ly" from some adverbs. That sure as hell didn't go "perfect", it went "perfectLY", LY I TELL YOU! (:
