Is it normal that this girl calls me her best friend?

There is a really nice girl who calls me one of her best friends. I'd like that to be true but I'm not really sure because until recently we were not close. She once implied that she wanted my cell # but I was so nervous I screwed it up. If you could help that would be great. Also any tips on how to give her my # without just randomly doing it? So, is t normal that she calls me her best friend?

    I'm a girl and I have a guy that's a best friend. We've been 'best friends' for years and even though a lot of people are convinced we will one day get married, we've never had any romantic feelings..
    As for the whole number thing.. Next time she says you're her best friend say something to the effect of 'don't best friends normally have each others numbers' in a jokingly kind of manner. Or you could invite her to do something and tell her you'll text her later and grab your phone and ask what her number is, just make sure it doesn't come out sounding like you are asking her out.

    you can write your number on paper and cut it small piece and if she asked you again tell her .. k take it i was gonna give it away anyways

    For girls it's hard to get a best friend. Maybe she is going through a rough patch with her bff and needs a guy fiend to lean on

      That actually sounds right because I've known her for a few years and we would talk every once in a while but we've been talking and hanging out alot recently. So I guess she might be going through stuff like you said.
