Is it normal that whenever i try to do things i end up not doing them?

I'll give examples.

I'm trying to watch a TV show. I get distracted for a minute or start thinking of something else and I have to rewind the show numerous times.

I'll start reading a book and I get stuck on a sentence. I'll read it over and over again and I still forget what I read. If I come upon a word Ive never heard or I rarely see I have to stop and look it up in the dictionary for the definition and/or pronunciation.

If I'm listening to a song and I miss my favorite part I rewind it. My mind will start to wander again and I'll miss it so I have to start the song all over again.

When I make lunch for myself half the time I forget to eat it. It'll be sitting on the table for an hour then I'm like "Oh! I forgot about you!"

I can never finish what I mean to do.

I'm no psychiatrist or anything, but I would suppose this to be ADD. I have the same thing, it takes practice and just concentration. I sometimes, more often than not actually, have to re read or re watch something to know the full idea. :-/

Sounds like you have a distraction problem. Although I don't think problem is the right word. More like, something you dislike.

    Try to focus more.

I tend to re-read paragraphs multiple times sometimes...
