Is it normal the 4th of july is annoying?

After just an hour I had already seen fireworks, heard Party in the USA 23 times and seen a crowd of about 12 drunken men wearing American flags as capes running through the streets chanting “USA USA!"

I live in Canada.

    People are gullible. Last night I heard some guy convince his drunk friend that the downtown fireworks show was cancelled. I'm not sure how he missed the explosions and bright flashes above his head...

      We're seriously overdue for a revolution. But the one cool aspect is that fireworks are illegal where I live but people set them off by the crate-full anyway. So at least the spirit of defying the government is alive in some form.
