Is it normal to accept $50 for watching a dog
So my very nice neighbors are going out for a couple of hours and they are offering 50 DOLLARS just for making sure their two dogs don't attack each other. Am i a horrible person for accepting it?

You're being asked to take on a responsibility. Depending on the dogs - their types and temperaments, it may be a job that requires a lot of involvement and potential injury to you (if big dogs and they get into a fight).
I think it's reasonable to receive compensation for that.
The price of doggy daycare is about 16 dollars per day, so two dogs are 32 dollars. But some owners wonder the hygiene and activity area of the daycares, so they are will to find a dog sitter or a neighbor and reward him varying from situations. However, if you feel guilty to receive the money or you are too busy to walk the dogs outsides, it's advisable to find a daycare near you. No, but putting two dogs who may attack each other in close proximity, is cruel to both dogs and would be pretty foolish on your part.
Suggest to your neighbors they find a reputable dog trainer before they spend money on going out and getting dog sitters.
I have a cleaning lady that comes once every two weeks and I pay her more than what she could get anywhere else. And I’d pay her more if I could afford it. Take the money and do a good job.
I think their offer is very generous, but it sounds reasonable if you are expected to play referee to a couple of dogs who don't like each other.
Hopefully these people will seek out some obedience training for their dogs soon. What kinda dogs are we talking about anyway?
