Is it normal to act out made up scenarios?

So sometimes, usually at night right before I go to sleep, or often when I'm driving or home alone, I will act out scenarios by myself. If you were watching it, it would probably look like I was talking to imaginary friends. The scenarios usually last anywhere from several minutes to an hour or more and involve myself meeting someone for the first time, maybe a perspective partner, and just having a conversation, I will usually talk out both dialogues. It can also be an interview situation (I'm on 'The Ellen Show') or scenarios I can see happening in my future (having a conversation with a friend or spouse/partner) Know that I defintetely DO know that none of this is real, I have a very clear understanding that this is all made and up and all in my head, so it's not a mental issue, just a weird habit. I have a pretty big imagination, I always had imaginary friends growing up. I spend a lot of time alone at my house, and feel lonely, this may have something to do with it. Is this normal?

I do that too! I thought I was weird by secretly acting out scenarios where I meet people and fight villains. Sometimes I even listen to music and do it too. I don't believe its anything to serious, but as long as we enjoy it who cares what others think!

Normal if you don't have enough human contact in your life
