Is it normal to always be tapping my feet? "double kick"

Ever since I started listening to heavy metal I have always been tapping my feet to the bass kick's. Sometimes it seems like I have to do it, even when there is no music present. Often I don't even realize i'am doing it..

    I had a friend that always banged his head to the double bass. He broke his neck listening to Slayer.

    I do full air-drums if I'm listening to music (I listen to metal too) no matter where I am.
