Is it normal to always click on the hidden comments in polls?
I am a curious person. I find I am MORE LIKELY to click on hidden posts to read them. They are often more interesting than the ones that aren't hidden. Anyone else do this?

I think it depends on how popular the negative comment is, but most of the time I do un-hide them. My curiosity gets the best of me I suppose. There is usually a reason they get hidden though, and most of the time I also end up going "ugh, why did I un-hide that" and just downthumb it and move on.
I read the hidden comments too.
Frankly as I see it... Just because a comment wasn't POPULAR does not mean it was wrong to say.
And personally I like to take that idea one step further and wish they'd remove the ability to hide/delete comments from all members except for management. Although I'm not sure management would like the workload
It's not meant to be used against things you disagree with, but unfortunately people do use it that way. Thumbs down should be reserved only for comments that are off-topic, abusive, etc.
I'm considering restricting access to the thumbs down feature to only certain members that have accumulated a certain amount of good activity in the system and have been around a little while.
Maybe..though some new members have valuable insight and some, like me, have been here a few years but quit and re-joined with a new identity...though that's nobody's fault but my own ;)
Maybe if there was some way to identify who voted...and how? Or require a reply justifying their reasoning?
hmm. i kinda like that idea.
(even more-so if it gets extended to disallowing OPs to delete disagreeing replies)
=)
Always but curiosity is one of the most wonderful Symptoms of being human.
