Is it normal to always submit true and thought out stories?

I have to admit, I'm pretty strict on myself about the authenticy of the things I represent myself with. I would never think of submitting a fake story on here, but I tend to see a lot of seemingly over the top and plausably made-up stories on this website. I wouldn't be surprised if 70% of this whole website was made up. Is it normal to submit only true stories?

    that's what this site is for. i've posted a few stories and they're all real concerns. except the one about my dreams, i know my dreams are normal, but i just wonder what they mean lol. anyway, some people do abuse this site. a few stories i've read have to be fake..i mean seriously!

    I only post stuff I care about. It is fun to get others thoughts on your life.

    I would never lie on here. And even though not ALL of my comments are pointful (yea I know that is not a word) I do care about the comments I post.

    Yes because it is more exciting when people comment you back because it is actually real and what you are thinking

    I've found from moderating people's submissions and comments over time that in general people are sincere here. There's often an unmistakable consistency in the way that they discuss a particular problem across many various stories.

    You'd be surprised how often something that seems totally bizarre turns out to be a real concern. Now I'm sure some of them are made up, but probably not nearly as much as you think.

      How fascinating and disturbing.

      I don't lie on here since I have no reason to, but a lot of the stuff I write on here isn't too well thought out. It's just me writing for the hell of writing the crap that comes to mind at that particular time.
