Is it normal to always try to be as objective as possible?

Unless it's completely inappropriate in that situation, I'm the same. I think it's easy to appear cold and distant if you do that, which might be why people find it weird. Make sure you don't lose your humanity in the course of being objective.

It's the only way to conduct your life if you want to be completely honest. Too many people don't take life serious enough and are fooling themselves.

That is because people put so much value in petty emotions so when you see something logically it confuses them. You are a normal human but most humans are very stupid. Something you should understand now. This lesson will make you understand everything else a lot better. Not all of us can put so much emotion into everything we do. That is something some people just don't understand. So next time they tell you that you are weird flip them the bird. Sure they will appreciate it =).
