I'm a Christian. Is this normal?
There are a mix of people on this site who believe (or don't believe) in certain things. Many of them are atheists or agnostic etc. Religion especially is one thing people love to hate, so don't expect the results to be too accurate here.
Being a Christian is normal.
It's normal to be any religion. I was raised catholic, I haven't been to church in forever but I still believe in the higher power. I don't have a problem with people having different beliefs, I just hate the snide remarks from some people on this site.
I'm going to vote "Not Normal" just because you felt that you had to ask.
You obviously have not done enough research into Christianity if you do not know this, and thus I feel that I am correct to assume that you do not know enough about Christianity to make an informed decision as to whether or not you truly adopt this as your religion.
I feel a better question, if you had to ask one, is "How many Christians actually believe in and know about their religion and, human imperfections aside, attempt to live by their beliefs (practice what they preach)?" Now THAT would have been an interesting question.
Read The Bible: 1st Corinthians chapter 15. You should read it all, but the central part that explains your question starts from verse 12 to verse 22. I hope that helps you.
P.S. It is also normal not to believe in Christ, because he gave us freewill. Nevertheless, you should know (if you're Christian) where you will LIVE after you die.
[Hint: there are two options]
God bless you and keep it up!
I am not the poster, but I did read the chapter you mentioned, out of curiosity, and after reading I wasn't sure if I understood completely verse 22, which kind of concludes the whole point.
Now, I am not religious, but I do enjoy discussing the topic, so only if you have a minute, my queston is:
Would this verse argue that all of man has redemption imputed to them? And if so, would this solve the issue of those who pass without the understanding of God?
...Again, just curious, or did I miss something completely? lol.
What kind of an idiot would put "no" ?! Yes, it's 100% normal but because of a few pissy Atheists on this site, and some Trolls, your results for this question will be incorrect.
1/6 of the population of the world is a form of a christian....its very normal. but don't let strenght in numbers give you an ego. ( p.s., im an atheist: strive for that meaning in life and hold on to it, because you have just as much of a chance of being right then anyone else)
Muslims conquered and converted northern Africa and
Europeans colonized great parts of Africa, and converted its peoples into Christians.
The most religious countries have the least educated people.
Just because there's so many of them doesn't make any of it true.
But yes it's normal, human imagination has made up so many religions, Christianity is just one of them, and European control of many countries in the world is the reason why it's now one of the major religions.
The least Christian countries are ones that were never colonized or dominated by European powers.
I know,as of now that's what is going on, I'm talking of the beginning of America. Also it does seem strange that countries that are mainly atheistic are statistically smarter, and have a lower crime rate...hmmmm...
Doesn't seem strange to me. Maybe atheists are educating themselves on evolution and science while religious people are praying in their church.
And atheists don't have to compete with others, a lot of religious violence is simply 'my god is right yours is wrong' crap.
i "ask for proof" because i'm tired of opinions and i want facts, and as soon as you show me proof of your slave driving, lying, murdering god then i'll believe....asshole....... and mister potato leader, i know the europeans converted SEVERAL people thanks to the slave trade and the thirst for european trade started by portugal... same time as the do do bird(or however u spell) went extinct...hmmm..., and thanks to christians large group they believe thats the reason there right.
Ok, first off I am a christian.... Second, I just asked this question to see the replies, and third, blackolic would u send that to a Muslim, atheist, etc.?
