Is it normal to be a functioning psychotic person

I need to keep busy constantly, it's the only thing that keeps my mind off the bad stuff in life. But I also find it really difficult to clean my house so I have a serious hoarding problem as well. Cleaning dishes and putting clothes away triggers angry thoughts almost immediately. I'm really fucked up in the head even though I'm doing fine financially and get all my bills paid on time.

It depends what you mean by that. for example i know some schizophrenic people and they are totaly fine with meds so like in general anyway ya i woould say so. plus i am a sociopath and btw i was diagnosed so its true but i honastly dont think it interferes with my life to much.

Psychosis is hearing voices and being paranoid. What you described sounds like ocd.

Is it okay if I ask what you're diagnosis is?

Psychotic? Doesn't sound like psychosis, to be honest. Now, being fucked up in the head seems pretty normal to me. Not putting the clean laundry away or doing the dishes until I run out of spoons and eat ice cream with a fork is pretty common in my house. The perks of living alone! :)

They tell me I have some bullshit psychotic disorder but I think I function pretty well. Although I'm the opposite, tidying clears my head and keeps me chill. Usually the better things are mentally, the messier it is.

I was with you until the word "chill". Then you lost me... hahaha!

Haha. There's something really calming about putting things in their right place, making it look tidy etc :P

I totally agree and feel the same, but that last sentence of yours does not say that!!! :P

Now I'm thinking it means that when things are internally good, the outer order of things doesn't matter, was that it? I think I'm getting psychosis from this! lol!

Oh oops yeah. I meant when I'm happy I'm not bothered by mess and don't bother. When I'm less great I do more tidying up to chill. Does that make more sense? xD
