Is it normal to be a reporter with social anxiety?

So I am actually an aspiring reporter. I have studied journalism in order to pursue a career as an entertainment reporter. Everyone says I got what it takes to make it, not to mention, including my personality how its so fun and spunky. Well...yeah I guess but in certain circumstances. Otherwise, I have major social anxiety. I'm awkward and I guess suffer from low self-esteem. Once I feel that people are weirded out by me, I get anxiety and it goes downhill from there. I start mispronouncing words and pretty much lose articulation when I speak. I can be confident but that doesn't stop my social anxiety. I always wondered why I don't believe I can be a reporter and finally realized its my social anxiety. Idk if I'll be able to magically get rid of it or if I should rely on therapy but ugh time is running out. I don't have time to go to therapy but yeah...its in my way of pursuing my dreams.

As an entertainment reporter, I doubt that you will have the luxury of doing your job in "certain circumstances".
Your work will dictate the circumstances, ready or not. You might want to begin therapy now, so you won't blow an opportunity, when it comes along, because the circumstances weren't right.
