Is it normal to be a slow learner?

I like to learn but sometimes I have my preference of learning when I study even if I tend to be slow at absorbing information that I need of remembering. The only thing fear I fear the most is being lagged behind among others and at the same time not remembering what I learned or studied no matter how many repetitions that I do. Currently I'm in my upper secondary/high school and important exams are coming up which is less than 6 months time and I have a lot of subjects and topics to cover afraid couldn't cover them all within that time period alongside with essay, mock exam practice, preparation etc (which I am also weak at). I only can opt to cram prior to that big event so that I could do well not ending up being blur minded on that exam day. Personally, this exam that I'm facing with now is a big deal for me because I really want to continue my studies in University (and also my parents really fought hard to pay for my studies hoping getting good grade scores would made my studies worth paying off). I'm not the best student nor do I expect to be the best one, but what matters to me the most is to get good grades and also loving to learn different things.

If you're a slow learner, what are your own tips when you study especially preparing for an important exams? Or maybe some words of wisdom or motivation. I'll really appreciate your suggestions

You've already won half of the battle - being motivated and planning well ahead. Study after study shows that cramming is ineffective. A better way is called "spaced studying." For you, this means focusing on part of one topic/task for a while, set it aside then focus on another, alternating your focus instead of trying to do all of one topic/task at a time. Of course, prioritize topics that are tested in the nearer future. This process tends to allow you to absorb better, learn faster and retain more. Good luck!

Many famous people throughout history have had learning disabilities. Walt Disney struggled in school. He dropped out to pursue a carrier as an artist. Thomas Edison was pulled out of school by his mother it's said he had both ADHD and dyslexia. Alexander Gram Bell had troubles with traditional schooling as well. He later invented the telephone.

If thats not modern enough for you Cher has difficulties remembering numbers and struggles with basic math. Tom Cruise, Terry Bradshaw, John Lennon, Whoopie Goldberg, Jay Leno, and Robin Williams all overcame learning disabilities and you can too. Talk to your guidance councilor most schools have programs designed to help you. Don't be embarrassed to ask for help. That is what they're there for.

So you're a little slow, but it's okay. You don't sound like an individual of 47 chromosomes and you've got the fighting spirit so I officially declare that I believe in you.
I can't think of any constructive advice apart from the generic 'work hard'. Good luck.
