Is it normal to be able to count seconds to the nearest .01s mentally?

I've heard many quarterbacks can do this, and probably people in other niche professions who spend alot of time tracking small time increments. I was able to develop this ability in myself, so I'm already pretty sure it's normal.

It's really shocked and upset others, especially in certain games where such an ability gives me a highly unfair advantage (e.g. I see someone take a respawning powerup, and I run/jump through where it appears at the exact instant it respawns). I'd like to hear from anyone else with this ability, and if it's innate, or you developed it (intentionally or not), and how?
I just did it staring at my the hundredths counter on my LCD watch all day in elementary school, and finding a pattern of muscle twitches that allows me to semi-consciously track how much of a second has passed, while i consciously count the total seconds elapsed. I'm accurate to .01sec over two minutes, about then I get tired or have lost concentration.

Even if there are few practical uses for this, I think it's really interesting. I find the possibility of people refining or expanding their senses or mental abilities very inspiring. I wonder if there is a competition for this. Have you checked the Guinness book?

Don't let others put you down on it. You never know. This ability may be very useful one day.

Bats have got you beaten. Their echolocation can differentiate between a ten millionth of a second (0.0000001s). You're not doing bad for a human, though.

I've applied it many times for many reasons that I'm not going into.

The question asked "Is it Normal", not "Is it Exploitable". I am so very sorry that many are so bitter about my ability that they actually took time to leave a snarky little comment.

What a much better life yours sounds like than mine!

Um the use of this is not an advantage or an extension of senses because you obviously can't do this and do other things so... It's pretty much a waste of effort and I agree u do not have a life

Seems like a nearly useless ability to me. Maybe in some situations you could use it, but I have revieved the overarching impression from this story that you have no life.
