Is it normal to be addicted to cracking/popping your neck and back?

I'm a fourteen year old female, and I pop my back and neck every chance I get. I've found out that I can only do it every thirty to forty minutes, though. Whenever I do it in class, people can hear it all the way in the back. (I sit in the front row) I've read somewhere that it can be psychologically addicting, and I'm afraid that may be my case. Although, lately my neck and back have been hurting, and they are not popping as much/loudly/often as before. I'm scared something may be wrong. Is all of this normal?

    I crack my back at least twice an hour. I've always had trouble doing my neck though

    I usually do that about 3-4 times a day, but if your neck and back are hurting you need to stop for a while so you don't make it worse. I went through something similar when I was your age and started cutting back on it as a result. You should probably wait several (at least 2) hours before you crack it again. Let your joints rest :]

    It is very normal at your age. It will get less over time. Try not to do it when it may annoy people.

    It's normal but I recommend you stop. Cracking your back or neck once in a while is good for relief but doing it to the point where it hurts isn't good.

    You can only do it once a day more might wear ur body joints down... I love the feeling of my back cracking feels good... Lie on ur stomach and have someone walk or stick knees into back.. I like it hard
