Is it normal to be addicted to sex ?

I don't even think it's possible to be "addicted to sex." Sex addiction is just an excuse people use when they're caught with their hands in the cookie jar: "I'm sorry honey, I didn't really want to have sex with this beautiful young thang, but I couldn't helpe myself... I'm addicted to sex!" Screw that noise; I love sex, I want it every day, multiple times a day if I can get it, and that's perfectly normal.

there is no such thing as sex addiction there are just compulsive behaviors.

Addiction might make ya a rapist and that wouldn't be normal..

to like/love sex sure it's normal, but to be addicted to it? not so much.

When you even just touch a hot chick's boobs, sex does become an addiction...

I agree is it addiction or high libido? That's like the difference between an alcoholic and a heavy social drinker.

I guess you would have to define addicted. If you can't go to work or do any other activity because of it then you may have a problem. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with having a high sex drive.

to much of anything is bad and the term "addiction" is bad hence but really normal because it can lead to mental issues later but to enjoy sex and be able to control your desires is normal

well normal idk...but i used to be addicted to sex...not so much anymore goodluck with it tho

I recently started taking a medication that made me desire sex less. On the other hand, even before taking the medication, during certain times of the month I get very horny and want to have sex really bad. This has made me think that perhaps people have varying amounts of desire for sex, based on hormones in the body.

It could be that you have too much of a certain hormone (as someone previously stated), or that you have an obsessive disorder (also previously stated). People do get addicted to many different things. If this addiction disrupts your daily life, you may want to consider seeing a counselor, psychiatrist, or joining a "Sex Addicts Anonymous" group.

be careful and don't let your addiction consume you-- you could end up in a sex rehab facility...

if your addiction persists talk to your doctor.
