Is it normal to be addicted to sherlock holmes

To start, I am 18, male, and not gay.

I really like Sherlock Holmes, and especially the BBC Series called "Sherlock" with Benedict Cumberbatch. I have all of the Sherlock Holmes books, a Sherlock hat, a magnifying glass, violin, coat and scarf, and even his robe from the BBC series. I quote him all the time. I am also on my way to graduating with a Bachelor's degree, majoring in Criminal Justice, because I want to be a Consulting detective. However, I am beginning to question whether it will be worth it, or would I be able to earn enough money by it to have a family, good size house, and car. Please honest answers only.

  • Yeah, because if you like and admire a male character that MUST mean you may be gay...

edit: I just found out my husband is really into this show. I think he has a man-crush on that actor. I think hes kinda creepy but whatever, I was obsessed with La Femme Nikita for years.

Not really normal but not extremely weird. If it makes you happy who cares?

I didn't think consulting detective was a real job...

To reiterate, I want to BE Sherlock, not be with him. I am practicing in boxing and singelstick fighting, Like Sherlock, and am teaching myself violin and fencing. I want to be a literal Consulting Detective.

I am not attracted to Sherlock physically or sexually, I just like Sherlock and want to be Sherlock. I'm not gay because I'm not. I am attracted to girls (I think Molly Hooper is cute) and am not attracted to boys.
