Is it normal to be addicted to sports equipment

I play rugby for school and club ( hehe so of coarse I am not a proffesional) But I love the game a lot and I try my best everytime I go on field. But I get addicted to a lot of high tech sport clothing and rugby boots.I have spent almost 1000AUD half year for my sporting equipment just for me to get the slightest edge on my game. I recently bought an skins A400 compression long sleeve top for 140AUD (convert to ur currency) AND a WILD THINGS BOOT for 120AUD . I AM NOT RICH BTW,, IIN??

    I read addicted as "attracted".

I don't think this is normal. You need to get control of this before you find yourself having money problems.

Well I suppose it's better to be addicted to cocaine, or pills....or gopher hunting!

    Right?!

I voted its normal but I honestly think you need to cut down on buying so much sport equipment..I'm a soccer player..not professional yet but I only buy like a pair of soccer boots every four to six months..seriously bro..if you want to be so good..work on yourself and body! Equipment is just there to make things easier or the person doing the sport feel comftable!

A lot of sporting equiptment that is sold with the intention of being an ergogenic aid in that sport is usually advertising hokum.

I find it normal. It's like liking basketball and buying a lot of Jordan's...and Snapbacks~<3.

Well first of all I play feild hockey. So I don't really know the equipment or the price range of the equipment. However I do like my high tech equipment, alot not just for the extra bit of help but because I spend so much time playing it, that I will be using it to it's full effect and see the difference. Fortunately I get alot of my equipment free, so I don't end up spending too much on it. i'v got 2 sets of kit (stick, underlayer, shin-pads etc), one for training and the other for matches. Each kit cost around £300 each.
