Is it normal to be afraid of being like stan??

Hiya,

From when I was little I've loved various musicians. Some loves have endured, some haven't.

I'll be 30 in 8 months. When I was younger (about 12/13 or so, I think) I knew everything about said musicians, they were near enough my only topic of conversation, & I wouldn't talk to you if you didn't like them. I am also seriously physically disabled, so it probably doesn't look like I have a lot in my life. It does get me down, but no more than you'd expect.

'Stan' (the Eminem song) frightened me so much I stopped being obsessed.

I'll never play it again, that's for sure.

*shudder*

I've now totally gone the other way (not in the way you're thinking!!). I still love various bands & always will, but due to my worry about being obsessed I missed out on seeing them live loads of times !!

is it normal to be worried about being like Stan yourself ??
