Whenever I see a couple black guys walking toward me on the street I get tense and nervous. I always try to maximize my distance to them. If they are wearing do-rags or rapper branded clothing it is even worse.
Well, it depends.. If the guys give that "thug" image, then I wouldn't blame you.
But if you get nervous around ANY black guys, then I think you should look in the mirror long and hard.
Some black guys are the nicest, you could tell by the way they behave and look at people.
I believe the stories and media have scarred you of this negative image. As you may know, the media only focuses on the negative for a "story".
i am a black guy and it depends i dress like a thug but i dont go around fucking with people i joined a gang when i was 16 now 29 i belive that anm a good person i dont rob an hurt people but any body can harm you dont matter wht the race the black guys can really be inc while the other guy that looks ssafe is not i say not norm but who knows fa certain its people period
I'd be scared too if they looked like gangsters. Judging people by how nice they dress and how thug they dress is unfortunately a great way to understand how threatened you are or should be. This also depends on what kind of neighborhood youre if you can run fast or not lol. Black people are normal people. Sketchy people are sketchy people no matter what their race.
I think it's normal. Where I live most muggings happen when people are "asking" for money or when some people are desperate for drugs. So it means mostly poor people will mug you. And due to racial inequality, unfortunately there is a higher incidence of poverty among black people.
Althought the few times I have been mugged, it was a white guy...

How about you look up statistics for serial killers. Most serial killers are white males, but I don't get creeped out every time I pass one in the street. Its funny how you try to make yourself sound educated when its obvious that you're a racist. It doesn't matter what color someone's skin is, there are bad people and there are good people. Right now you are sounding like a bad one lol. It I am gonna assume you associate yourself with some kind of religion. Idk statistics show that most religious folks are racists, sexist, or homophobes lol
Yet another example would be the French colony of San Domingo (now known at Haiti). When the blacks took over in the late 18th/early 19th century, it was one of the resource richest counties in the world. It had everything it needed to become a prosperous county, including the infrastructure. Yet, they managed to turn it into the notoriously dysfunctional, typically black run country it is today. And that is also despite getting immense aid and humanitarian support from the US and other Western counties. The US even sent their military to keep the peace (at the request of the Haitians) for some years when they couldn't atop massacring each other.
So how about you practice some critical thinking and study some history and science before you pretend to know what the fuck you're talking about

Why WOULDN'T you be a little wary of a group of people who commit many times the amount of violent crime of their White counterparts?

Of course it's normal! People are fucking stupid not to use "stereotypes" because stereotypes are nothing more than generalizations. And what makes a generalization? When it's GENERALLY TRUE. Exceptions don't disprove it because it's just a general truth. And here's a fact: black men are many times more likely to commit violent crimes than any other race of people. Look up the crime statistics. Than look up the interracial crime stats. White-on-black crime is almost non-existent. Buy black-on-white crime is very common. I'm serous, look up the gov. Crime stats. And they do everything they can to make it look otherwise too (like counting Hispanic men as what).
First of all, not all blacks are the most likely to commit crime. You are talking about the blacks in America, and not the world. So, you are wrong.
Second of all, know why many blacks in america commit crimes.. it's because they're in a circle of poverty. The local governments kept them in ghettos with absolutely no good schools.. that means no good future...
You should be afraid of ANY guys in the dark! Never know might be a serial killer..

Um i dont think ive heard of many black guy cereal killers they will shot at random steel or rape you haha but most are just normal guys chilling... but i guess anyone in a big group can feel intimidating when u dont know them that y u roll in a group though never feel alone n vonerable
