Is it normal to be afraid of death??

For the past couple of days I have been worries about how short life really is. Loads of relatives dying and nearly dying. I'm afraid that I haven't been a good muslim in this life and will nor go to heaven. Anyone else?? ;(

Well, if you start fixing things that bother you I think God won't take you just yet!

People who've had near death experiences say its nice. They say they feel this safe warm feeling and that its nice to float around.

I think it's normal to feel that way. But you shouldn't worry. Life is short, and that's why you should make the most of the time you have on this planet.

Yes it is normal to fear death.
Death is unknown and the unknown is what scares us most. You have beliefs which talk about an after-life, though you have been told about it possibly many times there is still doubt. That is normal. no one has been there and come back to describe in painstaking detail what awaits there.

Its normal to be scared of death but ultimately it's a waste of time. Were all going there anyway, there's no need to fear that which is inevitable.

And no one attacked your beliefs in such a brash manner, so don't attack theirs either. You believe in god, some of us done. Let's just live and let live and give the bs of arguing over religion a break.

But back to the main point, we have to come to accept our death... The sooner you come to terms with the fact that you are definitely going to die, you're free to live to the fullest extent of your being.

This is for the rude comments. There is a God proof open your eyes and another thing it's not a fairy tale.
To your question I am scared of death as well so I don't blame you to be scared. I'm married and I'm scared to leave my husband behind or him to leave me so it's normal.

There is no heaven, since there is no afterlife. You were brainwashed to be a muslim by your parents. God is a fairy tale. Eternal life is just a nice story to want to believe in.

I don't necessarily agree or disagree, but this is possibly the funniest comment I've read on this site. I imagine it being mumbled by one of the goth kids on South Park.

  • Not really. When I die, I die. Maybe I'd care more if there was an important person in my life but I don't have one anymore. You should stop worrying so much. It's something natural bound to happen to everyone.
