Is it normal to be afraid of going to sleep?
When I was younger, I absolutely HATED scary stuff (but I liked Halloween). Whenever I would see something scary, I would start crying. I was always a bit of a crybaby, but still.
Anyways, now that I am an adult, scary stuff doesn't make me cry anymore. But whenever I am laying in my bedroom at night trying to sleep, I can't.
I always feel like something's watching me, and it's gotten to the point where I have nightlights all throughout my house and especially my bedroom(there are 4 in my bedroom alone). I listen to calming music/rain sounds to help me fall asleep, but it still takes me what feels like forever to sleep.
Does anyone have any tips to help me with my issue?
Have any of you had these experiences aswell?
