Is it normal to be afraid of pool lights and love swimming in the dark?

so i am litterally scared to DEATH of pool lights. i’d rather swim in a murky lake. but i’m ok if the light is off and its dark?? idrk. its kinda weird. i cant even look at them. it looks like a diving helmet. opinions?

    I was freaked out by underwater pool light a as a kid. I was especially freaked out if the light was off and not in. Olympic size pools with tons of lanes and underwater lights scared me the most as a kid. Swim team and everything, a really good swimmer but totally panicked at times when I saw them. Constant exposure helped me overcome it, but it was an uphill battle.
