Is it normal to be afraid of power outs when home alone?

I am always paranoid of when i am home alone and if the power cuts out and the whole house is dark and i would cower in fear and i always carry my phone on me to provide light.

  • That's pretty rational but look at the bright side. If the power goes out then you could go into your backyard and look at the stars way better than you could with the town's lights on.

Or you could just go into your backyard and get raped/murdered by a serial killer, heh heh heh.

Yep, I'd say that's normal. I happen to have that same fear. I always make sure I have either my iPod or my flashlight with me in the event that would happen. My house is really really scary when the power goes out-especially at night. O_o So having a flashlight or iPod with you is a precautionary thing. Granted, we haven't lost power for a really long time but that doesn't mean the chance isn't there, IMO.

  • I don't blame you! We had our power out recently, and ever since I've been a bit paranoid.
