Is it normal to be afraid of shark attacks in a pool

I keep on randomly running scared out of pools afraid of sharks in the pool even though there is none in there. I have never been attacked by a shark and I don't have a phobia of them. Is this normal?

Some sharks can swim a few miles upriver, even when the water gets a bit brackish, and will attack unsuspecting people. I don't recall a case of a shark leaving the water entirely, driving a car to the pool, paying its entrance fee, putting on a little shark swimming costume and then swimming around in the pool. I could be wrong, though.

Sometimes I think about invisible sharks and manta rays in pools and I can never swim. No I'm not joking.

i remember seeing on TV a Scottish town got heavy floods and houses all had 2 ft of water in them. The TV crew interviewed the family who were still sitting on the couch. The Dad said "ma weans feart, he thinks there's sharks swimmin aboot the hoose"

  • Sharks won't kill you. More people die from toaster-related deaths than shark-related ones.

I know about sharks swimming upriver but I did White water rafting and quite happily swam in the water but it only happens when I am alone in a pool

OMG I though I was crazy I do that to!!
I'll b in a pool and every now and then I'll franticly look around convinced there's a shark in there! And before I jump in I'll look all over the pool just to satisfy myself!
