Is it normal to be afraid of the opposite gender?

I'm a girl and I'm deeply afraid of interacting with the opposite gender. I have not been around guys much when I was young or when I was a teenager. I'm always afraid to approach men, especially really good-looking ones for anything. Is this normal?

Men aren't as frightening as they look. They are just like girls, only with chest-hair and penises.

Honey, just where something low cut. And they'll approach you.

Yeah, it's fairly common to be nervous and awkward in the company of the opposite sex, especially if you are not used to it. I would think it is more common in males, but that may be because I am one. You just need to learn to relax, I think.

You are the one who brought it up. I believe if the OP wanted it to be a factor in her question, she would have brought it up. I resent your calling me names for asking exactly the same question you asked. Perhaps it's you who have the "hypocritically narrow mind".

Name calling and accusations of drug use. Such compelling arguments take little intelligence and less thought. As the man once said, "Stupid is as stupid does."
