Is it normal to be afraid to call people by their names?

When I first meet someone I am afraid to call them by their name, even if I'm 90% sure I have their name right. It usually can take me about a month to finally use their name when talking to them. I'm just so afraid of calling people by the wrong name!

    I agree and it doesn’t help that I am absolutely terrible at remembering names.

    Wow I didn't realise others felt like this too. I've been at my new job for about a year now, I still won't use anyone's names.
