Is it normal to be an irreligious puritan?
Despite being irreligious, I would describe myself as puritanical, in that I am celibate, averse to using most drugs and alcohol (wine's an exception), eat sporadically, and dedicate most of my spare time to the augmentation of my knowledge regarding a few subjects with which I have the utmost fascination. I regard physical pleasures to be deleterious to my existence and would rather pursue the further enlightenment in the subjects heretofore mentioned. The wildest thing I did this month was stay up reading and drinking Earl Grey and, I don't mean give you nightmares, so be forewarned; crack the window and drive with one hand on the wheel. Hide your children, there's a madman on the loose.
