Is it normal to be annoyed when people breathe really loud when eating

Is it normal to get really annoyed when someone is breathing really loudly through their nose when they eat? For some reason this annoys me a lot...

My father, who is overweight and a heavy smoker, always breathes heavily when he eats, even if it's just a light meal. It always disturbs me. His breathing sounds like he's a pig and is about to blow boogers all over his food.

Yes, it's called Misophonia. I've got the same thing and it's so annoying! I can't the slurping, loud crunchings, heavy breathing, occasionally moans of pleasure and so on. Ugh, sometimes I actually feel like slapping someone.... If only I could eat in privacy!!!!

I hate the loud breathing through the nose. I don't mind any other noises in fact I even swallow loud. But I just don't like people breathing loud through the nose.

I hate loud breathing in general. I had to sit next to an overweight kid who smelled and breathed so damn loud that I couldn't concentrate in the 8th grade.

  • "Excuse me could you stop that?"

    "Stop what?"

    "That..that..that damn chewing!"

    "Wooow slow down there partner"

"Shut your damn mouth when you eat"

    "Alright, you fudge"

It really annoys me too, but it's rude to say something- people don't take that too well. They will say something like how they are normally mouth breathers, but it doesn't make sense to me because they seem to be able to breath through their nose when they have their mouth full well enough. That heavy breathing could indicate perhaps that their nasal passages are obstructed or inflamed or they may have a deviated septum.

I get annoyed if ppl breath too loudly lol. I hate people eating crisps near me. My partner has this habit of holding tea in his mouth and then swishing it around his mouth like it's mouth wash... I could actually kill him whenever he does it!!!

It is normal...I get annoyed by that and when people eat with their mouths open, no one wants to see your food being masticated. Another thing that is annoying is when people scrape the bottom of their containers and/or dishes with their utensils. omg just stop!
It's all about having manners when your at the dinner table.

  • People should have manors, or eat in the dog house.

Ha. Is that, like, a neo-Nazi thing...? and... would two houses on landed estate be enough to avoid the dog house?
