I'm a male who has trouble talking to any one. mind you I can talk to them, but not too far long.
theres always an awkward pause and we just end up not talking any more.
espesailly with girls. when theres an awkward pause they just stare in my eyes and don't let me say any thing.
I find it to be very awkward.
is this normal?
I suppose we could refer to the infamous 'comfortable silence' as seen in a famous movie...
However the 'ruin it' bit is your own perceptions... We all get it, the anxious desire to not look like a tool, it happens to everyone.
Social interactions can be a pain in the backside, especially when it comes to the awkward silence where the conversation runs out of steam.
Just come up with an anecdote - find some interesting stuff online, or if it's a girl, perhaps point out something nice about their appearance? Like if they have a nice piece of jewelery or something. Be nice.

sounds like you're the awkward one. and what do you mean "they stare into my eyes and don't let me say anything" sounds like they WANT you to say something.
I have the same problem. It's called being introverted, and it's a personality trait. it isn't a bad thing. It usually means that you won't talk unless you really have something to say that you feel could contribute in a significant way to the conversation.
