I used to get that when I was in middle-High school, but in college it makes people want to approach me to be my study buddy.

(Oh God, I'm going to sound like such a stuck up piece of shit but here goes)
In Middle-High school, people are generally threatened by things that are different, hell, I'd say that most of the students I have met that are under 18 are threatened by different. In College, so far as I've noticed, people are much more open to new ideas and one of them is different people. Here, they're impressed by talent and intelligence rather than threatened and belittled by it.

The attitude of people actually going out of their way to get an education and improve themselves vs. the attitude of people who are being forced by the law and their parents to attend classes is very... very different.

Just stick it out for now. When you hit college, after about a year or two, once you start taking more difficult classes and the immature students who can't handle different are weeded out, things will get better for you.

      NeuroNeptunian is completely right.
You stay smart. Dumb asses drop like flies in college.
I'm not one to solve riddles quickly, but I can see what you mean. Just be careful to have a mental list of who you do not answer quickly to.
Like don't answer quickly to the cops if the cop is an ass. He might remember/memorize what you said and jump on your case if you say it differently later on.
Same goes for teachers, be patient, be nice no matter what. Their job is not easy. They need all the niceness they can get, even if they're wrong. I'm a student teacher now, so I can see what teachers have to do from both sides (grading+40 emails a day+parent issues+absent students=a grumpy s teacher). But I'm going off on a tangent here.
Just be nice, be happy, be thankful, and forgive the stupid saps out there and you'll be aye okay.

Either they are jealous, or they pick on you just because you're different from them. It is mean, and I am sorry you have to put up with it. Unfortunately, it is normal.

People in school are generally not as intelligent as people in college. This is why smart people are bullied in school but seldom in college.

This happens to me a lot. I just verbally abuse the idiots on what they say and I just add logic. They usually walk away feeling stupid. II usually have a smile on my face and anyone near us laughing at him. Try it, it's very amusing.

By the way it happened to me too. I became a Registered Nurse (I'm going for my masters soon) and one of the people who made fun of me rang me up at toys 'r' us last week. Considering we are both the same age and I went further than she ever will...well let's just say Karma will catch up to them. Keep working hard, you'll get through it and all those sappy slogans that say "it get's better" turns out they are true.

Damn right they are jealous,They probably wish they were like you, at least in that one aspect. But remember people who do that are not happy with themselves, there is something wrong with them, normal people don't feel the need to put others down.

Just don't lose your head over it. There is nothing wrong with you. Are you doing something wrong or bad? Bullies often have things about themselves they don't like. I was bullied as a kid, when my Daf found out, he told me, you either deal with that bully or you deal with me. Needless to say, bully got his ass beat like he stole something. Not condoning violence, however am condoning protecting/defending yourself. And I'm not saying take a weapon to school. Do it the old fashion way. Put em up.

People get bullied for everything. Too smart, too stupid, too vain, too plain, too weak, too strong, too average.

I don't get it. Maybe it's the circle of life
