Is it normal to be bummed out when a website doesn't look like 1992?
I'm talkin' big chunky buttons; granulated, difficult to read text, and limited graphics capabilities. It really adds to the internet adventure in my opinion.
Normal?

Did they actually have websites in 1992, big clunky buttons or otherwise?
The internet was barely recognizable in 1992. The best internet era in my opinion was 1995-2000. 1992 was still mostly newsgroups and all text-based with the simplest of graphics. By 1995 there were "cool" animated GIFs and the websites had a really nineties personality. It was cool ugly whereas today it's ugly ugly. Ten years ago the internet looked as clean and modern as it does today except without all the ugly ads everywhere. The only problem back then was they all had really slow loading flash splash pages. Using the wayback machine you can see what sites looked like from 1996 to present if they're archived. Sites we're still really cute in early 2000's and then got really sleek in the mid-2000's, and they've been pretty ugly since around 2007-8.
I had a few webpages of my own as a kid hosted on my school's servers. This was late-nineties/early 2000's. We all had a really good tech education and learned HTML basics as really young kids. Gives a ten year old a lot of power XD
I dunno, I was too busy being a C student (at best) in college, and having a really good time.

Memories.
the internet was like that even in 1998, like all text and barely any pictures.
