Is it normal to be called a geek just because you are naturally smarter than everybody else. I am just like any average teen, i hang out with friends ect. Plus i have never read a book in my life.
Never having read a book is not something to be proud of. Not by any stretch.

In high school everyone said I was half geek half jock. I played every sport and got good grades. You can be smart and still be a 'normal' teenager. It's all in your choices. Being a smart ass will cause people to think you're an ass more than the smart kid they want to go to for help.
Everyone gets a label one way or another-geek is one of the least insulting-be comfortable in your geeky skin and be glad it isn't dork.

I think the problem is answered in your question. Being smart is not an issue, being conceded is the problem. You get more respect when your smart enough to not brag about how smart you are.
