I despise just about everybody. I am starting to literally view the human race with the same distaste I view maggots and slugs. people have become so rude, conceited and flat out ignorant that it is hard to even deal with them long enough to buy groceries.
I know the word for it is Misanthropebut, how common is this feeling?
No I think that's totally unfair, there are plenty of good people around, you either have never met them, or just aren't looking hard enough. Another thing, most people, in fact all people, have good and bad traits, try to look past peoples bad traits it will make you wiser.
I think people have always been rude, conceited and ignorant. It's hardly a new thing. There wasn't some magical time when everyone was lovely to each other and things were perfect. I don't see why that is a reason to despise humanity, especially since it's easy to find people who aren't like that.
I feel that way too, but have you ever thought that maybe you could be the problem?
Comparing a human to a maggot or slug is like comparing that sound that chalkboards make when you draw your nails across them to Mozart's music. Atleast slugs are incapable of acting like total dicks.
To tell you the truth, sometimes I see other people and just like to imagine I'm visiting this world, and just waiting to get to the afterlife.
Maggots and slugs are totally harmless and do as well as they can within their limits.

It is NOT normal, but it is very understandable!
We are a blight on this planet and have not done one good thing since we came out of the sea to make this world a better place.

If there was a god he would surly eradicate this life form and hope the next intelligent (?) creature to emerge from the primordial muck was an improvement. How could it not be?
No way! There are so many specific things to hate about humans that generality is just lazy!
