Is it normal to be close friends w your teacher. I mean it's not like she ancient she's ten years older than me. We text all the time and I baby sit for her and will go to her childs tball games and stuff. And sometimes it makes it very difficult in class w my peers bc everyone thinks she is giving me a higher grade. And she's not! And I wouldn't ask her to. I mean we are both girls so it's not like I have a crush on her. She's just my friend. So iin?

    I think it is not only normal, I think it is beautiful;. I have always had friends older and younger than I am. I have not had an improper relationship but I have had pen pals and friends around the neighborhood. I learn much from those older and younger. If your relationshiop is non sexual, which I think it is, I think it is beautiful

    I think there should be a line between teacher and friend. If the line is blurred than things get difficult.

    Don't listen to these children. I'm an ex cop and it is in no way illegal. You are doing nothing wrong...try not to stress so much.

    Yes, this is normal. It is probably uncommon but it is not a problem. People are very judgmental abut this topic and it can be controversial.

    As long as she is not bumping your grade up, then it's not a problem at all. It is healthy to have social relationships with different kinds of people. You are doing nothing wrong!

    this is normal, theres no federal law that says u cant help ur teacher with things like babysitting or going to watch games and texting is practically the same thing as emailing a teacher.
    I'm friends with a male teacher and we usually talk about other things besides school. I'm even going to his wedding this summer :)

    Don't worry. I am a senior and am also friends with one of my teachers. Maybe not as close as you are, but still. I think it's okay.
