Im a girl who's 20 and i met another girl at the gym who's 17. Maybe after a while ill hang out with her outside the gym. Is it weird for a 20 year old to hangout with a 17 year old? here in Lebanon you cant drive till you're 18 so she cant drive and she's still in school.
That's only a three year age difference. I've had friends with much bigger age difference than that.

As for the question. It's normal. You are not much older yourself... 3 years more or less is the same deal.

As long as you're not talking about awkward issues like sex and aren't touchy feely or having thoughts about that, then, don't worry. I'm friends on a video game group with a 16 year old, 17 year old, 15 year old and 18 year old and I'm 24. I do it strictly to have people to play games with. I've never felt anything wrong with it. I try not to cuss or say anything bad, but, I hang out with them through the internet....
It's just 3 years, not 20 years! Some teens are also more mature than adults these days( a smaaall some).
Whether someone can drive or not is probably not the most scientific way to choose your friends.
I see nothing wrong with it! I sometimes hang around for a little with my younger sister and her friends when they come over. Theyre all about 18 and I just turned 22.
