Is it normal to be frustrated by the world around me?
For thousands of years man has lived with the idea that we could fight a holly crusade in the name of varying religions knowing that we were part of some grand plan part of a world we could barely understand knowing that we are blessed creatures to be alive and conscious while all around us are the beasts and plants that don't know what it is to feel. All over this wonderful planet of ours are the artifacts and monuments of the great human civilizations that have risen and fallen, the evidence of human ambition and achievement like the great pyramids, or great wall of china or the dikes of Holland turning what should be the seafloor into a fertile green paradise for humans to live in. All these things accomplished be people hundreds and thousands of years ago people who were far less numerous than we are today people who didn't have all the modern technology and equipment we have at our disposal.
I don't personally believe in god the way others tell it I have my own ideas and beliefs and they're good enough for me, but my question is why have we let doubt and fear creep so deeply into our society, and I'm not talking one country or the other I'm talking the global society, why have we let ourselves degrade to the point where our only concern is our own immediate pleasure. I know it isn't everyone but a good majority of the population of this planet has no momentum, we've hit a plateau and we need to start climbing again or pretty soon we're going to forget how.
