You lived away from home and had a financial setback and are getting back up on your feet.

For parents the concern about adult children returning - if indeed they want to have them back at all - is when the home becomes a hammock instead of a springboard. And it is easy for adult children to slip back into the dependency of earlier days; or fail to save the disposable income that comes with someone else providing the shelter; etc..

So make good use of the opportunity.

PS - there are young adults who just stagnate at home and not to seem cruel, but I would really push them out the nest were it me.

I had my own home at 25, and that was when homes could be bought for a modest wage (mid to late 90's). My salary was £10k and i bought a 2 bed terrace for £32k. If you add inflation to that £10k salary it would be the same as earning £17k today, but the same house is now £100k which is 6 times £17k, as opposed to 3.5 Times in the nineties. So you now need to be earning twice as much to get on the ladder, as i needed to. the best advice i can give you is sell everything you can get your hands on and buy Lloyds TSB shares, as they will grow 10 times over the next 5 years.

I moved out when I was 18, and wish I had the opportunity to live on my dad and stepmother's estate until I was 26. My brother, luckily, has been allowed to live with them (both are his parents), and I hope he will be allowed to live there for the remainder of his life. It's a massive property, and our dad and his mom are getting a bit older, so he should be able to help them as they age. STAY AT HOME AS LONG AS YOU CAN!!

A few years ago, if anyone lived with their parents over the age of 20 they were wierdos and totally uncool. Not so now though, with the economy in the state its in many college graduates are having to move back home with their parents. I am 22 and have one semester left and I have a bad feeling that is going to be me as well come December.

    Normal/Average.
At 26, on average, You'd expect to have grown up enough to live on your own or with a partner or friends. And that you have your own life, and it can also depend on your parents, if they want you out or not. But some people are too lazy or take advantage of the oppotunity. Its average to see that 20yr olds and over are still living at home with their parent(s), when they could be living out of home =D

    Its all upto you.

But friendly advice, Girls don't usually dig that kind of stuff if your a DUDE ^_^

Normal. some people live at home longer that's all and besides you're doing something with your life with personal training. best live at home longer while saving up at the same time for when you decide to get a place of your own.

It's up to your parents. If you can make it out on your own, though, I'd suggest doing it so you can spread your wings, get independence, and get new life experiences. Just make sure you'd be okay.
