I am mixed race and still nervous about dating interracially. In particular, I like this Asian guy but I'm scared to ask him out. I'm actually half Asian too but a different type from him.
Are you a girl? If so, don't ask him out. I know that sounds archaic and sexist, but my friends and I have all had VERY BAD EXPERIENCES asking guys out. If he likes you, he will ask you out. Play it cool. Don't embarrass yourself. This has nothing to do with race, but just trust me on this one.
Are you worried about what he would think or what other people would think? If it’s the former why would you want to be with someone who’s going to be racist against you? If it’s the latter you need to work on not letting other people’s’ opinions dictate your life, you will be judged no matter what you do so you may as well live for yourself.
If you are not deadset on your children being a certain race why does it even matter?
What about interracial dating has you nervous ??
I’m a blonde haired white dude and my wife is full Chinese. The most our race difference had ever been thought about is if someone makes a small non-offending comment about it, or if we make jokes. During times of COVID I get a little extra protective, but we haven’t had any issues.
