Is it normal to be obsessed of crt monitors (trinitrons)

hi this is sortof weird to ask but why not i got a obsession of crt monitor and a genuine hate for flat screens as crt monitors "TRINITRONS" shows the best picture i have ever seen i myself own a sony gdm fw900 which is nearly impossible to obtain and i am right now running at 1920 1200 85 hz and i sometimes get tears in my eyes when playing a colorful game or go thru the winamp visuals the picture is just so beautiful the black is perfect compared to flat screens i had a chance to play with a IPS screen 2 weeks ago i had 40 min to play with it and i didn't like it not even close to what im used too crt monitors don't have any backlight so every part of the picture is litten i am currently running at 10000 color temp which to some may be blue i gotta say i have never seen any crisper picture on any other screen i actually own like 9 trinitrons i've collected over the years some of them being 2 sony gdm fw900's dell p1130 ibm p275 TWO of them a samsung trinitron and a ibm don't remember the name comes just before the p275

anyway is it normal to have such a obsession by crt monitors i payed alot for my fw900 and i am not regretting it one bit people call me crazy if you google "fw900 hardforum" you will see tons of people still loving the fw900 and doing what they can to get it so i know i am not alone

but i seriously own 9 trinitrons and that takes up ALOT of space i actually had 3 sony fw900's as i got them all at once but i had to sell one and i got about 600$ for it which is 2500 sek in swedish money

the fw900 is the only 24 inch widescreen pc monitor ever made next to it's iferior cousin it has a FLAT screen on the front and you can find it on ebay for all from 200$ to 1000$ it was made for cad editing and was a hefty penny back in 2001-2003 and the picture still blows me away it is seriously beautiful

thou is it normal with this kind of obsession i know im not alone by loving trinitrons as i also know someone who owns a fw900 and he says the same thing he has the same genuine hate for flatscreens for killing off the crt monitor

is all this normal or am i just a picture enthusiast by heart

the thing is i have seen basically every single monitor there is from led to lcd to ips and they don't get close to the colors on a crt and the crispness

how can it be braggin if it's a crt people throw those away i obviously know that it's nos sict or anything i just thought it would be fun to see what others think of people who like to collect crt monitors as i love them

so how can it be braggin then?

i just made this one for fun see what other people think not like im going to stop love crt monitors the day i'll give flats a chance is when they make FED or OLED thats when i will give them a chance i have seen several people just throwing these things away for what reason weight size is that it?

so no not trollin just thought it would be fun to know how many people that are like me and cares about picture more then weight and size i mean your not going to move it all the time so who cares about the size and weight

depends on the led screen, many led screens now a days offer a much wider color gamut per pixel than crts could ever achieve. yes, crts will always win on black, but most people wont notice the difference.
