Is it normal to be sad on birthday.

me too. i hate when it's my birthday, honestly one of my least favorite days of the year. ugh

I'm always sad that I'm getting older. But it's life I guess... Just think positive! You're one year closer to moving out/retiring etc...

Not everyone is happy. Even if they seem
happy, many many many people are miserable on the inside. Looks can be deceiving.

I was unhappy on my birthday while everyone else was telling me to enjoy it. I don't see what there is to enjoy about it.
I see it as the one day a year I allow myself to be sad. I am thankful to be alive each and every day, but when my birthday rolls around, I just think back and allow myself time to catch myself up emotionally.
