Is it normal to be scared of a song?

A while ago i listened to "lavender town" from pokemon green. it scared me so badly i'm still sometimes afraid of it. it's also pokemon physically painful to listen to it.. and now i'm afraid of any style graphics or high pitched 8-bit songs... is it normal to be so afraid of a song?

I hate that song "Suicide is Painless" the theme tune from MASH (I think). Just because I worry about kids who might listen to it and be convinced it's a way to sort their problems :o(

yes the old lavender town music made kids in japan have sisures. also the sound waves for the music showed missingno in ghost form and unown spelling "leave now". so yes, its normal

Yeah, I guess that's normal. The song 'Uninvited' by Alanis Morisette sometimes scares me.

I love that song. It's eerie and makes me feel like I'm neither alive nor dead.

    Hiya,

Yes. It's not the song itself I’m frightened of, it's people seeing my reaction. Most people think it's only a song so it can't affect you. They don't listen to the words, or have emotional ties to the song in the same way I do.

I've cried so hard when the “wrong” song comes on it's nearly made me sick – literally. I nearly had to leave a concert because one song had this effect. People can't play/sing certain songs in front of me, I can't read the lyrics or similar words without crying, and if it's really bad I can't even look at a picture of what the song's about.

A lot of songs I like are creepy anyway; they both fascinate me and make me want to get as far away as possible at the same time.
