Ever since I was small I have been scared of fans in a bathroom especially when they are turned on the noise makes me feel paranoid.
I also don't like using public loos much as they frighten me too unless they are either really new (built in the last 4 years or so) or are really clean
Is this normal?

Dunno always been afraid of them ever since I could remember even when I was little I even refused to use the loo downstairs coz of the fan
@Donice......I apologize then. We do get a lot of fake posts of people claiming to have ridiculous phobias. Why are you scared of fans?
DannyKanes I am not a fake I am generally scared of fans if I wanted a fake post I could have said something like is it normal to get 12235521456 blow jobs a day I am scared of loo fans and it's becoming a pain everytime I go the loo even in my own downstairs loo (I have 3 toilets in my house) scares me I dint switch the light on (which activates the fan) or I go upstairs
i was folding laundry the other day and i had to do one of my big blankets so i was reaching up over my head to fold it so it wouldnt drag on the floor and one of the fingers on my right hand got knocked with the ceiling fan on its highest speed and it hurt really bad but my finger didnt fall off and i never even got a cut, so dont worry about that, i think they even did a show on mythbusters about people loosing limbs and there head even on a fan and it was busted, still it sounds to me like you have a phobia the best thing you can do is try to face your fear and turn on that fan when your in the bathroom eventually it wont bug you so much
I don't know why I'm frightened of them but their appearance is scary too
And first post I agree those fans I always imagine fall on people too

I used to to think a monster would jump out the toilet when you flushed it. So I would run out of there as fast as I could. But that was when I was four years old.
I'm sure I've read this before... Any who, I say irrational fears are normal.
I see what you mean, but i really like them for their purpose: vent/circulate air and make noise so people cant hear your awkward business.
I opened this post thinking it was just fans in general, but theres these huge metal fans we use around our building. Everytime someone stands in its way i cant help but envision the blade combusting through its vent and head gashing them or completely messing up their faces.
