Is it normal to be scared of leaving lights on in the house ?

Why are you scared?

You really should share a reason as to why you have this fear. I feel really uncomfortable leaving lights on when it's unnecessary due to the fact that my parents would consistently yell and/or whack my siblings and I when we'd leave lights on around our house that weren't being put to good use. Leaving lights on doesn't scare me to death, but it makes me feel unsettled because I have it drilled in my head not to do so as a result of my upbringing. It seems harmless enough, because you conserve energy and save on your power bill.

Scared of raising your electric bill!

I would have to say, no. The reason I think this is because usually people are afraid of the dark, and turn on the lights. And unless you grew up in WWII in Germany, when you had to keep the lights off at night at all time's, unless you wanted to get your house bombed.

No it is not normal, everyone had their different fears in life and apparently this is yours. I say you go talk to a parent and ask them how to come over this phobia of leaving the lights on in the house. I think we (the people of Is It Normal?) could give you more advice if you listed why you are scared of this, that is definitely something you should think about!
