A mirror is just a surface whose atomic composition and structure is such that photons aren't absorbed or in the case of reflection scattered in random direction such as on a normal surface. I'll spare you the exact quantum explanation about band-gaps etc but just remember that there's nothing magical about them and they are most definitely not gates to anything out of this world.
It's normal, I'm afraid of mirrors too. I refuse to have a mirror in my room. I do look myself in the mirror, but the mirror can't be in my room.
ever since i saw mirrors i think my own reflection is going to kil me D:
Dude I feel the same way!! I avoid everything reflective as much as I can!
I'm not sure about where it came from, but it was a popular children's game when I was in grade school. You'd go into a room that had a mirror (usually a bathroom), turn off the lights, maybe light some candles, and look in the mirror and chant "Bloody Mary Bloody Mary" something like 100 times. And then supposedly a ghosts face would replace your own in the reflection.
Of course, nothing ever happened, because no one had the nerve to wait around until we got to 100 lol.
lol if you're anywhere near my age- 25- we grew up with the whole Bloody Mary thing. I don't know about you, but for me that's where that fear would come from.
