Is it normal to be scared sometimes when searching on wikipedia?

Sometimes when I search on Wikipedia, especially when it comes to diseases/surgeries/illneses, I can get scared by the pictures that pop up on the page. Some of them are really disturbing to look at, at least to me they are. Is this normal?

what kind of "icky" things does your school make you research?

And... please tell me you're not using Wikipedia for your source material for reports. Always check your sources.
