Gah I get this all the time! I'm always scared that i'll just go straight back into the nightmare when I go back to sleep. My dad told me that all I have to do is make sure I'm proparly awake before I go back to sleep. It really does seem to work.

It's normal, I've done that before. If that happens again, try drinking some warm milk or coco:) that always helps me

I have been there. Here are some of the tips I use for myself.
-Do not eat within a couple hours of going to sleep. A small snack is one thing, but no late dinners are large amounts.
-Use a night light, maybe it's weird, but I'm nearly 20 and I have one in my bedroom and kitchen. I live alone and it freaks me out sometimes.
-Have the tv on until you are just about to fall asleep. Even if you are not watching it, the light and sound will help distract you.
-If you really can't sleep, sometimes a sleep aid is necessary. Just try a light one you can get at walmart or walgreens.
-The biggest thing for me is being ready to fall asleep before I turn all the lights off.
-Also I have a fan going so I'm not in silence.
Hope any of this is helpful. Good Luck! :D

  • Something must be going on in your waking life for you to have these nightmares.

Solve that and you solve your nightmare problem.

I get that all the time.. And u stay up because u know when u fall asleep your gonna go back into my nightmare .. To fix this, I just made sure I was extremely tired before I went to sleep . I have nightmares when I haven't done jack shit, also don't think about it to much. Get a dream catcher seriously sounds stupid but get one and believe that it will take away those damn nightmares. I have a lobster soft toy and i rarely have bad dreams! You just have to believe!! Wooooooo!
