Is it normal to be this scared of death?

Ok, I know that there is an obvious answer to this question, but I'm just scared that there really isn't something after this life. I am agnostic, but was raised Roman Catholic. I just have a really hard time believing that there is nothing after this, and to think I'm not living life to the fullest. I just wish I knew someone who has had a near death experience just to know what they went through.

  • I use to have out of body experiences when I use to dose dxm and mushrooms a lot. I had some bizarre thoughts during this time. I have come to the simple conclusion that I believe that there is something that happens at the moment of our death and right after that we could never comprehend during the time we spent when we were alive. I can not say what really happens for sure. I do not think anyone can really. Death isn't really something to fear because it is something that all living things on this earth have in common in the end. **Blows mini load**

Hahaha +1 for that. And what is "up" anyway as seen from outer space? An Aussie would point "down" from my perspective.

Since this one life is all you are guaranteed, you should make a huge effort to get the most out of this one.
Worrying about dying is a sure way to waste this life, so don't. We all die, sooner or later; you can not avoid it.
I'm probably a whole lot closer to the end of my life than you are to yours and I can tell you that the only thing that I worry about is the pain my passing will give my loved ones.

I have the same fear, it's the fear of the unknown.

Get a book or books on near death experiences; read and see what you think.

Look on Youtube you'll find many people with near death experiences. You have a hard time accepting that nothing happens when you die because it goes against the truth of the universe that God is real. This truth is innate in every human.

Death is total absence of awareness just like when you weren't born. You shouldn't fear it since you won't experience it by definition.
